We’re explorers with a strong home base. Building digital spaces can make some folks feel untethered. Not us. We’re a team of designers, engineers, and brand builders that prioritize care and connection as the basis for exploring ambitious client work. As a trusted partner, Township is the stable foundation you can always return to for the fuel needed to push your efforts forward. Many of our client partners are long-term, multi-year relationships. Back in 2014 when we started as a small, bi-coastal team, our aim was to create a place our team and clients could call home from anywhere. We knew that leaning into an environment where high levels of investment in our team are prioritized would result in kind with dedication and strong work. And so we did just that. We’ve focused on making a workplace where employee health and happiness is a priority and non-negotiable standard. This is an ever-evolving effort we've been improving upon for years, and this work will be a constant as we strive to be an industry example in 2023 and beyond.

We’re not the only group of agency-alumni to create a shop that improves on industry woes. Nonetheless, taking a people-first approach to creating a home base where great product work thrives has felt pioneering at times. A common agency complaint is poor project planning leading to additional underpaid people being put on unrealistic deadlines and everyone, including the work, suffering as a result. At Township, we do the work up front to understand our partners’ goals, ground in realities, add shape to what success looks like, and engage in proper long-term planning to piece it all together. This doesn’t slow down client progress, on the contrary—this strategic forecasting allows for swift movement.

The other side of the planning coin is stacking the project with the right people. We’ve done the work on our side, so clients pay a fair price for what they really need, and we pay our team fairly in the process. We focus on pay equity with transparency so folks come into Township understanding where they are at and where they can go across disciplines. This also allows us to hire talent that covers a variety of experiences and skill sets to satisfy multiple client partner needs while also offering room to grow. Our team’s experience cuts across a spectrum of senior designers and engineers as well as juniors we invest in. Our junior folks bring fresh perspectives, a hunger for new challenges, knowledge of new technologies, and unbridled enthusiasm that energizes the whole team.
